Wooden Surrounds for English Fusee Dial Clocks

Wooden surrounds come in many different sizes, the most common to turn are for 8”, 10”, 12”, 14”, 16” & 18” clock dials. All surrounds are turned from period mahogany and tend to be one piece. The brass bezel would be required to ensure a precise fit, the surround would then be morticed to accept the hinge & tab. I can turn any size surround up to approximately 24” in diameter.

I purchased a wreck of an 8 inch fusee wall clock from eBay - painted bright orange with a few case parts missing-in essence it just seemed fit for the skip. Paul however, worked his magic and restored it to utter perfection. English Fusee wall clocks are perhaps the best wall clocks ever manufactured and Paul ensures that the legacy of these truly amazing historic clocks continues.
